Preflight Checklist

Use this checklist before uploading artwork or sending files to Fieldkit Print.

Document​

  • Page size matches the intended finished size.
  • Bleed is included where needed (and background elements extend into bleed).
  • Safe area is respected (critical content stays away from trims/folds).
  • All pages are in the correct order and orientation.

Color​

  • Files are prepared in the expected color space (typically CMYK for print).
  • Any spot colors are intentional and named consistently.
  • Rich black is used only where appropriate.

Images​

  • Images are high enough resolution for print at final size.
  • No missing/low-res links (or everything is embedded, depending on export).
  • No unexpected transparency or blending artifacts.

Type​

  • Fonts are embedded in the exported PDF (or text is outlined if required).
  • No font substitutions or reflow when the PDF is reopened.

Output​

  • Exported as PDF with print-friendly settings (see Exporting PDF).
  • Final PDF opens cleanly and looks correct at 200-400% zoom.
